🦶🏻You know that feeling when your feet swell up, red-purple? Happens to me a lot. Some days it’s mild, some days it’s ugly. Today was one of the bad ones. Woke up with my feet puffed, dark purple painful in a way that drive you insane.
I was diagnosed with MS twenty one years ago. This kind of swelling – vascular, neurological, lymphatic – it’s all one broken circuit. The body doesn’t move blood properly. Everything jams. The system chokes. It’s a mess.
But today, like many times before, I fought back the only way I know: breathwork 🫁. Wim Hof-style. First round – 20 minutes with Jesse Coomer in my ears. The swelling dropped. The purple pulled back. Not fully but at least 50%. I could see the difference. Then I did another 20 minutes – Dan Vadnais this time – and the color nearly back.
Here is what’s important: during the session, I felt tingling in my feet. Like oxygen finally push its way in. That’s not fantasy that’s physiology. These intense breathing cycles push up your oxygen saturation, flush out CO2 and force circulation to wake the hell up. It reaches places that haven’t felt alive since I woke up today.
Next time I’ll take photos. It was that real.
And no – I didn’t start here. A few years ago, 10 minutes of breathwork left me exhausted. But I stuck with it. Day after day. No skipping. I trained for this. Now I go intense.
So if your body is broken and won’t let you move – 😮💨 BUT YOU CAN STILL BREATH 😮💨- start there. No equipment. No excuses. Just lungs and willpower.
If you’re drowning in pain, depression, exhaustion – do this. 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁.
