breathwork changed everything for me. at first, it felt too simple to work, but science backs it - controlled breathing shifts the nervous system, lowers inflammation, and dulls pain signals. after a session, my body feels lighter, the pain softens, not just for minutes but for hours. after a few weeks, I realized something bigger—my mood was better, my neurological pain had eased in a way no medication ever did.
for years, I tried everything. endless treatments, countless practices, nothing had this kind of impact. I know it’s not easy. breathwork takes discipline, just like any workout, but at least it’s something we can do. even if our legs are weak, even if we’re in pain, even if our eyes struggle—our breathing muscles still work for us.
I practice between 20 to 40 minutes a day now, but I didn’t start there. a few years ago, I began with just three minutes. that was enough to feel something. over time, I built it up, step by step.
so if this feels too big, too intense, too far from where you are, maybe the first step is just too big. break it down, start small, just one breath at a time.
