I noticed this man, talking like crazy as if he were fighting with something only he could see.
His lips moved nonstop –
words spilling out, half-formed,
sometimes loud enough to catch,
sometimes swallowed by the cold wind.
Insane?
Caught in some invisible argument,
his whole body reacted.
I couldn’t look away.
And then, in the silence of my own head, I noticed it.
I was doing the same.
Not with my mouth,
but with my thoughts.
